COMPONENT group The Parts Alliance has been retained on a two-year contract to supply all braking products to the fast-fit  Kwik Fit network in a deal worth £20 million.

The agreement follows a hard fought competitive tender won by the Solihull-based group and runs until mid-2015. The Parts Alliance won the original tender in 2011.

Under the new agreement, which covers all brands operating within the fast-fit's group, the parts distributor will supply to more than 800 locations nationwide.

The product range will include those from Delphi and the Alliance's own DriveTec brand.

Mike Curry, a director at The Parts Alliance, said: "This is one of the largest single product contracts within the automotive aftermarket."

Mr Curry added: "The Parts Alliance will continue to work with Kwik Fit on a number of exciting new projects, to help develop sales both to retail and fleet customers."

The new deal will again cover both same day and on-demand supply as well as core stock replenishment via EDI (electronic data interchange) next day service.
