New code of practice launched at Office of Fair Trading

UK GARAGES can now sign up to a voluntary code of practice that will promote them as honest and fair workshops to motorists.

The Motor Industry Code of Practice for Service and Repair has been launched at the Office of Fair Trading by Motor Codes Ltd in London. Workshops will need to 'commit to meet the requirements for completing service and repair work whilst engaging with their customers'.

Subscribers to the code will need to have:

Honest and fair services

Over 5,500 garages have already said that they intend to subscribe to the code.
