Access OE repair data

Technical data straight from the manufacturer

Published:  28 November, 2014

Alldata Repair gives independent workshops direct access to OE repair information via an online portal. The data is unedited - diagrams are not re-drawn and the info is uncut, what you see is the same information available to techs within dealer workshops.

Alldata Europe is an official license partner of all leading vehicle manufacturers so it is able to provide access to the original maintenance, repair and troubleshooting documents straight from the manufacturer. The system currently provides info for Alfa Romeo, Opel, Ford, VW, Mercedes, BMW, MINI, Skoda, Smart, Citroën, FIAT, Renault, Peugeot, Lancia, Dacia, Nissan, Vauxhall and Mazda, with additional VMs in the pipeline.

Vehicle models from 2000 to present are covered, including vans, and you will find factory chassis/mechanical repair procedures, complete electrical wiring diagrams, technical service bulletins, tightening torques, filling quantities and a great deal more.

With so much information to hand, this repair portal is not for the feint-hearted, it is pitched as a complementary product to Autodata's offering, providing high level information to independent workshops who are competing with local dealers for work. The data for each VM is presented exactly as the original, so each marque is categorised in its own unique way, so navigating your way around and finding what you need will take some getting used to but you'll be rewarded with a vast amount of information when you do, including common faults, fixes and repair procedures.

Request data direct

It has been a huge success over in the States since 1986 and now has all the major VMs involved. Information goes back to around ten years for vehicle models but if you are faced with an older model, or the very latest, and cannot find the data you need then there is a really great function called the 'Info Center'. You can type in a request for info, such as a particular wiring diagram and Alldata will pick it up and search for it within the VM data, if it's not there they will request it direct from the manufacturer - an answer tends to come back within a few hours.

Autologic Diagnostics is now partnering with Alldata, enabling its customers to maintain and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards by using the resource along with its diagnostic tools. Alldata President Jeff Lagges says: "Manufacturers' procedures, diagrams and service bulletins are essential to the safe and proper repair of most cars on the road. Together, we can help shops both large and small to efficiently diagnose the most difficult problems."

A 14-day trial of the Alldata product is available through its website
