Successful evening at The TRICO Stadium

Published:  28 September, 2017

Redditch United Football Club played host to a successful evening of networking, food and football, as sponsors TRICO and Comline invited dozens of guests to watch the home game against Slough Town on Tuesday night (26 September).

Guests were treated to a tour of The TRICO Stadium before the match and met former Premier League footballer and first-team manager, Darren Byfield.  This was then followed by an evening of socialising, with visitors tasting the new Comline Burger and TRICO’s well-publicised ‘Brew 17’ beer, which was unveiled at the game.  There were also two Ginetta racing cars on display, decorated in TRICO livery.

Despite a 4-1 defeat for The Reds, the club celebrated its highest attendance of the season so far, and the fans created a positive and loud atmosphere throughout.

TRICO European marketing manager Sam Robinson said: “We began our involvement with Redditch United last season and decided to launch the TRICO beer to coincide with the company’s 100th anniversary celebrations.

“TRICO Brew 17 is only available from RUFC and a percentage of the profits going to the local Community Trust who engage with the Redditch community and deliver on outcomes combating antisocial behavior and crime, working with underprivileged children, reducing health inequalities and providing education to help support employability.”

Comline marketing and communications manager Leigh Davies added: “Our association with Redditch United provides an excellent platform to promote the brand, both here at home games where we have the Comline stand and at away games through sponsorship of the team’s away shirt.”

Redditch United chairman Chris Swan, paid tribute to both TRICO and Comline: “Our sponsors TRICO and Comline have been fantastic in showing their commitment to the club, and it is an honour that companies of such high-calibre are involved with this club.”

The revamp has resulted in shallower packaging that enables garages, factors or retailers to increase the number of wiper blades that can be hung on a display unit. TRICO has also redesigned the artwork for these ranges which, with their logos and branding now aligned across all packages, gives them a coherent and uniform appearance. The new packaging will be introduced as a running change, with Flex estimated to be during July, Force following in August, along with Neoform and finally, Ice for September.

The eye-catching counter top display is a great promotional tool and perfect for the winter season. The Highway Code clearly states that "windows and windscreens must be kept clean and free of obstructions to vision". During the winter months, this is particularly relevant – ice (or snow) must be cleared from all windows, as well as both the front and rear windscreen, before driving. This also applies to condensation that forms inside the car.
