LIQUI MOLY to sponsor World Handball

Published:  22 August, 2018

LIQUI MOLY is continuing to expand its sport sponsorship: the company is now also the official sponsor of the 2019 World Handball Championship, which is will take place in Denmark and Germany in January. "This world championship is one of our global lead sponsorships," says Peter Baumann, Marketing Director at LIQUI MOLY.

During the 96 games of the world championship, the blue and red logo will be visible behind the goal and on the LED hoardings, among other places. "This not only brings our brand closer to the hundreds of thousands of spectators in person, but also to the screens of many millions of sports fans," says Peter Baumann.

LIQUI MOLY is traditionally well-represented in motorsports, currently in the MotoGP motorcycle world championship and the TCR touring car championship. "We also want to increase our brand awareness outside of motorsports and the World Handball Championship is a great opportunity to do just that," says Peter.

Schaeffler (UK) has teamed up with Liqui Moly to offer  Chain Protect, an additive which helps ensure the longevity of the timing chain and its associated components. The crucial element of any timing chain replacement is the ‘breaking-in’ phase, when the new chain beds itself in to the old engine system. Using Chain Protect can help ease wear during this phase by up to 20%. During the installation of an INA timing chain KIT, a technician should apply Chain Protect to the timing chain and associated components. This helps create a robust layer on all point of contact surfaces, resulting in smoother chain function and reduced friction.

I have a passion for helping the independent sector, and this new role will only help my ambition of achieving that.”   Because of his familiarity with the workshop business, Andy will be mainly focused on supporting the REPXPERT team, as well as conducting various media duties. • The right "Guy" for the job

Morris Lubricants have named Guy Martin as its official brand ambassador for 2018.

One minute he may be under a truck, the next racing around a road circuit on a superbike or taking part in another challenge for TV, but in his new role Guy Martin will be putting his talents to work promoting both Morris Lubricants and its products.

“I like the fact they’re British, have a range of everything you could need and are good honest folk,” he says. “They sent me a load of samples, and I didn’t know how many products they had and it's all good stuff. Whether it’s on the trucks, cars or bikes, even my tractor, the quality is spot on.”

Working with Morris Lubricants also gives Guy plenty of different opportunities, including the possibility of ‘brewing’ his own oil. “I'd be up for that, I’m not an expert on oil, but I'd be keen on learning!”
