More than 32,000 garage mechanics from across Europe, the Middle East and Africa have used Tenneco’s Garage Gurus automotive technical education platform, and completed courses through it since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis.

The curriculum includes 30 interactive training modules covering steering, wheel-end bearing, suspension, braking, ignition, filters, engine and general automotive. Custom webinars offered cover braking, steering and suspension, shocks service, emission control, engine technology and other diagnostic and repair subjects.

Garage Gurus also offers Gurus On-the-Go, a fleet of vans performing on-site demonstrations of the latest tools, parts solutions and other topics. Meanwhile, Gurus On-Call are technical specialists available by telephone or Skype. Lastly, Gurus Onsite are hands-on lessons hosted at the Garage Gurus training facility in the Netherlands as well as other regional hubs. Complementing this is the Garage Gurus YouTube channel, and the Gurus Community, a forum of experts who share written tips, tricks and best practices on a wide range of vehicle service topics.

Commenting on Garage Gurus’ curriculum of online and on-site courses, Marijn Staal, Senior Manager, Training and Technical Services, DRiV Motorparts, said: “Garage Gurus is a preferred resource for thousands of automotive service professionals who want to enhance their diagnostic and repair capabilities. We have seen a dramatic increase in demand for all of our courses and learning formats, but especially the Garage Gurus Online platform due to its exceptional convenience and accessibility.”
