Green at heart: EAG shows off environmental cred

Published:  21 May, 2021

Excel Automotive Group (EAG) is proudly showing off its environmental credentials by revealing the steps it has taken to reduce its impact on the world.

Managing Director Adrian Lamb said: “While the environment been a more widely discussed subject in the past couple of years, the impact we’re having on the environment has been at the forefront of our minds and a talking point in the motoring industry for decades, with the biggest changes happening to the vehicles themselves, such as electric, hybrid and even hydrogen vehicles. While we at EAG cannot contribute as much to these larger changes in the aftermarket, we can take responsibility for the environmental impact we have as a company”

Adrian continued: “ It’s for this reason that we have taken the measures we have, such as ensuring we recycle everything we can and changing to more energy efficient ways of working, which has even included installing new systems to use less paper. Recently, we implemented the MAM Warehouse Management System, not only to increase efficiency, but because all of the processes are done electronically, meaning that we’re hardly using paper anymore.”

He added: “We also have the ISO14001:2015 accreditation, something that we have maintained since Tony and I took over EAG two years ago; this means that we’ve improved our environmental performance through more efficient use of resources and reduction of waste.”
