A smarter charge

The new Smart charger range from Yuasa comprises five models to solve a variety of issues such as stratified and deeply discharged cells, maintenance charging, charging during cold weather and AGM units.

The products can be used on all kinds of automotive and leisure applications. The 12V YCX 5.0 shows if a battery is able to receive and retain charge and a reconditioning feature restores stratified and deeply charged batteries. It undertakes maintenance charging and has a mode for cold weather charging and for AGM types. A display allows you to follow the automatic eight-step process. It is suitable for charging batteries from 1.2 to 110Ah and maintenance charging batteries up to 160Ah. The YCX 10 offers the same features but can also be used on CV batteries.

A ‘power supply’ mode allows you to disconnect a battery without losing important configurations in the process. It is suitable for charging 12V batteries from 20 to 200Ah and maintenance charging up to 300Ah. The YCX 0.8 6V is designed for motorcycle, ATV, agricultural and vintage vehicle applications, for 6V batteries from 1.2 to 100Ah, it is reverse polarity protected and short-circuit proof. The YCX 25L workshop charger has a six 6 metre long cable and is wall mounted. It is a fully automatic eight-step charger that delivers 25A to 12V batteries from 40 to 500Ah.
