The Top Apprentice competition is launched in 2025, brings a fresh focus to the rising stars of the garage sector. This exciting new initiative recognises and celebrates the exceptional skills, talent, and dedication of apprentices who are driving the future of the automotive industry.
From showcasing cutting-edge technical expertise to demonstrating outstanding problem-solving abilities, Top Apprentice sets the stage for young professionals to shine. This is your chance to be the next generation of technicians making your mark in a competitive and dynamic field.
Do I qualify?
To enter Top Apprentice please be sure you fit the below requirements:
- Are either a current Level 2 or Level 3 apprentice studying at a college or academy in the UK
- Able to provide a tutors email address for apprenticeship verification
- Employer approval to allow participants to compete and potentially attend events.
- Any apprentices under the age of 18 – will be required to have a parental consent form completed and returned in order to progress.
What’s Involved?
Top Apprentice competition will involve 3 rounds. The initial 2 rounds are online consisting of a combination of multiple choice and open ended questions and answers.
The 3rd round is on finals day held at Delphi Academy, Warwick, where Apprentice’s will be put to the test with a series of 5 knowledge appropriate tasks, varying between physical tasks, knowledge tests or role plays. Each task will take around 30-40 minutes, finalists will have a dedicated judge on each station to help them advance through the task and assist with any equipment usage where needed.
In the the evening of finals day, you and all guests will be invited to join us at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Coventry for the Top Technician & Top Garage Awards Evening & Gala Dinner. Here you will be treated to an evening of celebration, entertainment and most importantly find out who will take home the coveted trophies and titles.

- Head to the Top Apprentice portal via the link below.
- Complete the registration form to log into the portal.
- Be sure to complete the first round of questions before the first round closes! This is a series of 20 multiple choice questions. You can only complete the test once (we will take your first score) and you only have 15 minutes.
