Textar has launched an online training programme offering brake training and advice for industry professionals.

The brakes brand said the move brings manufacturer expertise to the aftermarket and provides updates on latest advancements in braking technology.

There is also product training for replacing, maintaining, and servicing brakes, with courses designed to develop practical skills for all levels.

The first 500 to sign up will receive free access to the Textar Virtual Academy, which features videos and tutorials aimed at boosting skills in the sector. The academy is initially available in several countries including the UK.

Scott Iwrin, head of technical training at Textar brand owner TMD Friction, said: “The launch of Textar’s Virtual Academy helps us meet this challenge, bridging the skills gap, making it more accessible and easier than ever before to complete training in your own time.”
