Coronavirus: PM says lockdown to continue
Businesses will not see a let-up in the Coronavirus restrictions just yet, Prime Minister Boris Johnson warned upon his return to Downing Street this morning (Monday 27 April), meaning garages will have to continue hanging under lockdown conditions.
The Prime Minister addressed the nation on his first day back at his desk in 10 Downing Street, after having contracted COVID-19, ending up in intensive care. He urged people not to lose patience with the lockdown, but expressed his understanding of the concerns emanating from business owners.
He warned that exiting lockdown too soon could lead to a second spike in cases and meaning more deaths and “economic disaster” before the re-imposition of restrictions. “I ask you to contain your impatience,” he added.
