Cromax, a global refinish coating brand from Axalta, has unveiled a new 1K primer surfacer designed to improve bodyshop productivity, profitability and sustainability, making it the ideal choice for spot repairs.
PS1420 UV High Productive Primer-Surfacer utilises next-generation 1K technology to offer refinishers an array of impressive benefits across a wide range of applications.
Not only does this UV-A primer surfacer boast an incredibly fast drying and curing process without the need for baking, but also it is easy-to-use and offers optimised corrosion resistance.
The product also underscores Axalta’s commitment to the environment by eliminating CMR (carcinogenic, mutagenic and reprotoxic) chemicals and reducing waste drastically.
Jason Hopkins, UK and Ireland country manager Axalta/U-POL, said the product had been developed so that busy bodyshops can successfully and easily diversify into smaller cosmetic repairs.

PS1420 UV High Productive Primer-Surfacer is currently available in 1 litre cans. Cromax recommends curing with the IRT UV SmartCure UV-LED lamp by Hedson, or any lamps with comparable specifications.
