ETB appoints Gardner as parts procurement manager

ETB has strengthened its team with the appointment of talented aftermarket expert Sarah Gardner as parts procurement manager.
She is responsible for working directly with suppliers to improve relationships and maximise opportunities across the company’s equity stores.
Gardner also oversees garage consumables, parts suppliers and also supports the wholesale side of the business on tyre supply.
Arriving from the First Stop network, she has thrived in a retail business consultant role for the past five years and brings a wealth of experience in supplier relationships and in-store retail support, ETB said.
Sales opportunities
Before her time at First Stop, Gardner spent five years at Goodyear, starting in outbound strategic sales where she used data to forecast sales opportunities to business owners on incoming deliveries, before being promoted to field consumer sales business development manager.
She also spent three years at International Tyres, initially covering truck inbound sales, before moving into a field business development manager role.
Gardner said: “I’m working directly with suppliers to improve relationships and can affect change with our network of centres in ways I have not experienced before. I’m here to ensure that we’re working with the very best businesses in the aftermarket, and converting as many sales as possible through our top three parts suppliers as a result.”
Pete Parsons, ETB wholesale director, said: “We are delighted to welcome Sarah to the team. Her deep understanding of both suppliers and the needs of garages, coupled with her drive to deliver real change, makes her a perfect fit for as we continue to strengthen the network.”
