Heavy-duty tyre changer for high-volume workshops

Hofmann Megaplan has launched the Megamount 704XL, which it says is a premium heavy-duty tyre changer engineered to meet the demands of today’s modern tyre workshops.

Said by Hofmann Megaplan to be designed for high-volume professional environments, the Megamount 704XL combines advanced clamping technology, heavy-duty construction, and enhanced operator control to deliver outstanding performance when working with low-profile, run-flat and ultra-high-performance tyre combinations.

The tyre changer is built around a robust platform with outside clamping capacity from 10”–24”, and has been developed to provide the strength, reliability and precision required by busy workshops handling increasingly challenging wheel and tyre applications.

One of the standout innovations on the Megamount 704XL is the twin flange turntable system, engineered to deliver unparalleled clamping force distribution, minimising the risk of the wheel slipping during operation. Combined with the machine’s hand-operated smart bead breaker system and optional single- or twin-assist arm configuration, the Megamount 704XL is designed to improve both efficiency and operator confidence during demanding tyre fitting procedures.

Additional features of the tyre changer include a variable-speed motor, a pedal inflation system, a quick-release kit that comes as standard with standard, plastic, and raised-spoke demount heads, a triple-lock mounting head, and heavy-duty workshop construction.
