IGA presents £10,000 cash boost for Ben

26 September 2025

Automotive industry charity Ben has received a £10,000 cash boost from the Independent Garage Association.

The donation was made during the 2025 British Independent Garage (BIG) Awards, held in Birmingham earlier this month.

The IGA said the donation underlined its dedication to supporting the wellbeing of the independent garage workforce, recognising that the success of the industry depends on the people who keep it moving.

Ben’s services include a helpline, online self-help resources and tailored support for those experiencing hardship, ensuring no one in the automotive community faces difficult times alone.

IGA chief executive Stuart James said: “The BIG Awards are a celebration of excellence in our sector, but they also provide an opportunity to reflect on the people behind the businesses. Ben is there for those individuals when they face personal or professional challenges, and their work touches every corner of our industry.”
