LKQ boosts community causes across UK

LKQ UK & Ireland has revealed donations of more than £46,000 to 110 community causes across the nation, from grassroots sports team to palliative care charities, through its LKQ Euro Car Parts, LKQ Digraph and LKQ Leisure & Marine branch network.
The motor factor has donated the funds via its Community Branch Fund scheme, which was launched in 2023 to help branches access funds for projects and charitable causes close to the hearts of their colleagues and communities.
Nearly 65% of this year’s UK-wide donations have been used to support local sports clubs.
Branches in the south east have funded the most out of any region so far, donating more than £6,800. For instance, the business’ Guilford branch used its funds to support the special care baby unit, a specialist centre operating out of the Royal Surrey Hospital and offering neonatal care for premature babies.
In Yorkshire, more than £5,500 has been donated. LKQ’s Wakefield branch used its grant to donate to Smart Works Leeds, which helps unemployed women get the coaching, clothing and confidence they need to secure employment.
‘Encouraging’
And the north west has seen donations of more than £5,380.
Strong results in the West Midlands, LKQ Car Parts’ home region, has seen donations of more than £5,250.
Kevan Wooden, chief executive at LKQ UK & Ireland, said: “The fund aims to make a difference to a huge variety of community groups, charities, hospices, sports teams and more. It’s been encouraging to see our colleagues continue to champion the causes they care about, and we’re proud to support them in making a real difference locally.”
Throughout 2025, the business has continued to work with community partners to support relief efforts in Ukraine, fundraising to send ambulances to the country filled with essential aid and supplies.
In December, its LKQ Foundation also announced the results of its yearly LKQ Cares Holiday Vote, where it invited global employees to vote for initiatives of their choosing to receive up to $100,000 each. Recipients included the LKQ Employee Assistance Fund, Make-A-Wish and Ben, a longtime charity partner which offers wellbeing support to people in the automotive industry.
