LKQ drive to boost focus on expertise for customers

LKQ Euro Car Parts is expanding its team as the company steps up operations to forge closer links with customers.

LKQ said its “evolution” plans will  see an increase by a third of customer-facing account manager positions.

The move reflects the firm’s aim to provide even more frequent face-to-face contact and expert guidance in solving customers’ business challenges and facilitating growth, LKQ said.

In addition to the expansion of its account management teams, LKQ is introducing dedicated operational roles to further strengthen its market-leading position.

‘Specialisms’

This effectively splits formally dual account management and operational roles into “discrete areas of specialisms, which will be unique within the UK aftermarket”, the firm said.

CEO of LKQ UK & Ireland, Kevan Wooden, said: “This is all about getting the best out of our people by allowing them to focus on what they excel at.

“At the same time, the market is evolving rapidly, and we need to reflect that by moving to a model that is fit for the future and capable of supporting our customers as they lean into the opportunities and challenges of tomorrow.”

By increasing the number of colleagues in customer-facing roles, LKQ is giving customers more access to its expertise and better support in their local branches, Wooden said.
