MANN-FILTER expands portfolio with plant-based raw material

As part of its sustainability strategy, and following the introduction of the first CO₂-reduced filters last year, MANN-FILTER is now offering additional air and oil filters as part of the transition to series production. Workshops can now benefit from renewable, plant-based materials of proven original-equipment quality.

As a result of the product expansion, the more sustainable MANN-FILTER air filters are available for around 120 million passenger cars and vans in the European IAM. Oil filters treated with lignin are used in approximately 35 million vehicles across Europe. In addition, both filter solutions are available worldwide for millions of other vehicles. The number of available products has more than doubled as a result of the expansion.

The transition to the new filter types began in May, and the products are clearly marked with a leaf symbol on the packaging. And the lignin-based filters are being introduced with no changes to part numbers or logistics.
