New battery management course from Bosch

Bosch has launched a new training course; Battery Management, Smart Charge and 48 Volt Systems, that is running in September.

The new course covers smart energy management, Stop/Start components and operation and micro hybrid topology for 12V, 24V and 48V, as well as other issues around vehicle energy management.

A spokesman for Bosch said: “This course will give technicians the knowledge and skills to be able to work on modern batteries, as well as understanding the function of energy management systems, modern Stop/Start and micro hybrid systems. This course contains information for carrying out diagnosis, repair and replacement of energy management and Stop/Start systems and associated components whilst working safely.”

Bosch recommends that those taking the course should have undertaken considerable prior learning around the topic, and have previously completed the Bosch Diagnostic Technician programme. Practical tasks will require competent use of multimeters and oscilloscopes.

The course will be running at Denham 19-20 September.
