Probite acquires UK braking peer Black Diamond

Aftermarket brand Probite Performance has acquired UK brakes peer Black Diamond Performance for an undisclosed sum — to create a “performance braking powerhouse”.

Probite confirmed the takeover of brake discs and pads firm Black Diamond, which first launched auto components onto the market in 1993, in a statement to Aftermarket yesterday.

The company said the deal would enhance its portfolio and strengthen its position in the performance industry.

“As we continue to grow, we are committed to delivering exceptional products and services that meet the evolving needs of our customers,” Probite said.

“By bringing together Probite’s renowned customer service and Black Diamond’s cutting-edge innovations, we aim to create a powerhouse of performance braking solutions that will better serve our customers and elevate industry standards for both the UK and Europe.”

Probite said the deal broadens its product offerings and strengthens its R&D capabilities, “allowing us to push the boundaries of what’s possible at a price that’s affordable”.
