SBS Automotive becomes Borg Automotive Newman

SBS Automotive, acquired by the Borg Automotive Group in 2023, has been fully integrated into the group as of the end of last month and is now operating under the name of Borg Automotive Newman.

Aside from Borg Automotive Newman (BAN), the group has two other business areas — Borg Automotive Reman and CPI. Both units remanufacture products, while BAN trades new units.

BAN sales director Bo Maagaard (pictured) said: “Apart from the new name, we are still the same company, the same people, and located at the same addresses.”

Maagaard said BAN will continue to supply the aftermarket with brands NK and Eurobrake, while its private label activities remain unchanged.

Borg Automotive is part of the Danish industrial conglomerate Schouw & Co. Borg said in 2021 that the acquisition of SBS was part of an ongoing growth strategy, which started in 2020 with purchase of Spanish turbo remanufacturer Turbo Motor Inyección.
