Sustainable innovation award for MANN+FILTER

MANN-FILTER, the global premium brand of filtration expert MANN+HUMMEL, has been recognised as a top innovator by the European Association of Automotive Suppliers, CLEPA.
The award-winning technology features new CO₂-reduced filters that partially replace crude oil through the targeted use of renewable raw materials.
MANN+HUMMEL said further initiatives to promote more sustainable mobility are already in the pipeline.
Hasmeet Kaur, division transportation president, said: “Receiving the CLEPA Innovation Award for Sustainability makes us very proud and confirms that our commitment to climate-friendlier innovation is making an impact.”
Kaur said that by using lignin, a renewable, plant-based material, into the firm’s our cellulose filter media, it had achieved a game-changing breakthrough that allows the company to reduce CO₂ emissions and crude oil usage significantly, without compromising performance.
