Technicians endorse UniClutch Flex Fit system

UniClutch has said its Flex Fit system, which allows for installation on virtually any vehicle, has been praised by UK technicians.

The modular system uses a flywheel mount and an interchangeable input shaft spline that can be made to suit 90% of vehicles on the road, even if the vehicle has a non-standard engine and/or manual transmission.

Alliance Automotive Group TechMate technician, Nigel Clement (pictured), said of his experience of the system and its performance in the NAPA Branded Ford Focus ST:

“My first impression of the UniClutch was the precise and detailed way it is boxed and presented. The QR code system is really unique as it shows the process and details of the clutch and fitting kit that is required to fit the product to the vehicle.”

Clement said the instructions were simple to understand, allowing him to set it up quickly, including choosing the correct input shaft adapter.

“As the flywheel was still serviceable, the UniClutch easily fitted the existing one. This was explained in the fitting instructions to align up the dowels with the ring plate for ease of fitting.”

Post-installation, Clement conducted a road test and reported: “The pedal felt better than the original equipment version that had been removed and drove smoothly, but I was also able to apply power from the engine cleanly with the confidence of the twin plate system.”

UniClutch said there are four products in the range, each offering a performance product up to three times quieter thanks to its patented radial dampening technology and 50% lighter on the pedal for more comfortable gear changes.
