Three new AGM part numbers have been introduced to ACDelco’s battery programme to complete its range of SMF batteries. The parts cover 447 vehicle applications covering Audi, BMW, Land Rover, Mercedes, Mini, Porsche and Volkswagen. Experts predict that by 2015, 40% of the OE battery market will be based on AGM technology and this is already impacting the replacement parts market, used in vehicles featuring stop/start systems such as the Eco-Flex engine used in GM models. The company will continue to add further references to both the AGM and SMF battery ranges.
