TotalEnergies in lubricants deal with Motor Parts Direct

Energy and petroleum giant TotalEnergies has agreed a deal to supply lubricants to specialist UK automotive parts distributor Motor Parts Direct (MPD).
Under the deal with TotalEnergies Marketing UK, announced on January 27, MPD said its 14,000-plus customers will be offered the latest in lubricant technology, featuring next-generation and sustainable products.
MPD, which was acquired by South Africa-based automotive group Motus in 2022, has a UK network of 181 branches, 15 distribution hubs and a large delivery fleet.
David Valentyne, aftermarket sales manager at TotalEnergies Marketing UK, said: “We are thrilled to partner with one of the most respected aftermarket specialist automotive parts distributors in the UK.”
Valentyne said MPD’s customers would benefit from the TotalEnergies’ next-generation Quartz range of automotive lubricants, created specifically to reduce engine emissions, improve fuel efficiency and extend engine lifespans.
MPD marketing director Kevin Blazey said: “Increasingly, both the workshops we supply and the vehicle operators they serve are looking for products that provide sustainability benefits along with performance and fuel efficiency credentials. It was the logical step for us to add Quartz to our range.”
