TPS salutes ‘Summer of Love’ charity drive

TPS has been running a ‘Summer of Love’ charity initiative with the network fundraising for national and local charities.

The ‘Summer of Love’ , which concludes tomorrow (Friday 1 September) has seen TPS Centres as well as TPS head office raising money for a national or local charity of their choice. TPS will also reward the staff team that raises the most money with a £500 donation to their chosen charitable cause.

One branch, TPS Chester and North Wales have been looking to complete the equivalent of the Chester and North Wales customer territory in various ways. Paul Woods, TPS Sales Manager at TPS Chester and North Wales, said “Between us, we’re going to walk, cycle, run or swim 494km – the equivalent distance of the TPS Chester and North Wales territory outline. We began on Tuesday 1 August and are monitoring and logging the distance using the app Map My Walk. We completed 47.5km on our first day, with a lot more miles to come from the team.”

Kayleigh Clare, TPS Events and Communications Manager, said: “The ‘Summer of Love’ charity initiative is a huge opportunity for TPS colleagues to come together, have fun and most importantly, raise money for charity. The TPS network is being encouraged to be as creative and imaginative as possible, sharing their pictures and updates along the way. We are looking forward to a ‘Summer of Love’, as the TPS network gets the opportunity to express their affection for the charities that mean so much to them.”

The ‘Summer of Love’ follows on from other recent individual and group fundraising efforts within the group in support of local and national charitable causes.
