Van Mossel acquisitions boosts UK auto presence

The Van Mossel Automotive Group has boosted its presence in southern England with the acquisition of two dealer groups, including nine sites, two body repair centres and a parts distribution warehouse.

Van Mosel said the acquisition of Breeze Motor Group and Ocean Automotive further strengthens its position in the UK mainland. 

Breeze Motor Group represents Volkswagen passenger cars and commercial vehicles, Suzuki and Ducati, and is an official distributor of VW parts through the Trade Parts Specialist network.

Breeze has also built a successful camper and lifestyle van hire business operating under the name ‘Breeze Campers’. 

Ocean represents the Audi and Volvo brands and operates three dealership locations and two body repair centres. 

Breeze and Ocean will operate under the umbrella of Van Mossel Automotive International, which is responsible for all group activities outside the Benelux region.

Van Mossel CEO Eric Berkhof said: “These simultaneous acquisitions represent a logical next step for us in the UK, strengthening our position and opening the door to further growth.”
