VARTA colour coding simplifies battery choices

VARTA Automotive has introduced its new product portfolio to the market designed to streamline choices for retailers, workshops, and fleet operators.
The Clarios-owned brand said the colour-coded labelling system ensures easy identification and selection of suitable batteries for modern vehicles.
The SLI battery (blue label) ensures reliable starting power for conventional vehicles, while the EFB variant (silver) enhances performance in start-stop and commercial vehicles with basic hoteling functions.
Meanwhile, the AGM (gold) is designed for high-demand applications, including advanced start-stop systems, highly equipped commercial vehicles, and electrical consumers in EVs.
New to the range is a lithium ion battery (orange) designed for deep-cycle off-grid leisure applications such as motorhomes and marine use, with connectivity via Bluetooth.
