The voice of the independent garage sector

Dayco is offering up five branded rucksacks for the readers of Aftermarket as it prepares to welcome the garage sector onto its show stand at Automechanika Birmingham in June.

The company will be at the show to remind technicians about the importance of thermal management in modern engines. For performance and efficiency to be sustained, the correct temperature must be maintained across the engine. This is often only possible if electric pumps are used, which has led to a number of innovations from the company. One of these was the friction wheel switchable tensioner, initially developed for BMW Mini to activate the water pump in the PRINCE engine used on the Mini after 2006. This, along with water pumps, e-pumps, thermostats and radiator caps, will be on display at the show.

To be in with a chance of winning a Dayco rucksack, simply answer the following question:

For which vehicle manufacturer did Dayco develop its friction wheel switchable tensioner?
A) Ford
B) BMW Mini
C) Volkswagen

Winner will be chosen at random from the correct answers when the competition closes on 24 May, and the winner will be notified by 28 May. By entering, you consent to your information being shared with a third party. The Editor’s decision is final. No cash alternative offered.
