TPS on track to accelerate performance, expand range

TPS is looking to expand on a year of strong performance going into 2025 including an expansion of its oils range.

Over the past 12 months, the supplier of approved genuine parts to the independent motor trade for Volkswagen Group vehicles has boosted its delivery fleet, extended deals and increased its Quantum consumables range to include more regular monthly offers.

TPS said on December 20 that further oils are expected to be added in 2025. Some 17 oils are already available, with all those in the range holding approvals and recommendations for a variety of modern vehicles, including hybrids, and a range of manufacturers.

The move to month-long offers and deals has proved popular during tough economic times, with garages able to enjoy discounted prices for longer, TPS said.

The firm’s Quantum consumables range has seen the addition of a new oil and screen wash, while the Quantum Synta RN 5W-30 oil was added in May.

New fleet

TPS has also supercharged its parts deliveries service with the addition of 25 all-electric Cupra Borns and two ID Buzzs into its fleet — enhancing its capability to deliver five times daily across six days a week.

The new fleet of EVs was rolled out across TPS’ network of centres, including its new TPS Ballymena centre in Northern Ireland, Coventry, Gatwick, Portsmouth and Southampton.

There have also been various centre relocations, including a new expanded site in Redruth.

Meanwhile, VW’s total loss avoidance (TLA) programme has celebrated its 10th anniversary, with over 700 UK bodyshops now working with it to prevent vehicles becoming write-offs by offering discounted VW genuine parts.

TLA, first launched in 2014, offers access to additional parts discounts, which are made at the invoice stage.

‘Sustainable’

In addition to releasing a brand film about the business, TPS welcomed the return in August of its ‘Summer of Love’ charity drive.

Catherine Baker, TPS head of group parts operations, said: “The electrification of our fleet is something that we are particularly proud of. This is important to our customers and for us at TPS and forms part of a wider commitment to achieving a more sustainable business operation.”

“The brand film reminds our customers of what a great service we provide, supporting national and local charitable causes with our second Summer of Love fundraising drive and the celebration of the 10-year anniversary of TLA have all contributed towards a strong 2024 and we now look forward to another successful year.”
