Forum access for Top Techs
UK AutoTalk has become the official forum for Top Technician. It will feature competition updates and enable entrants to take advantage of the wealth of information within the technician network.
The forum was created back in 2001 and has become the UK’s largest online network of automotive technicians and independent garage owners.
There are eight technical and five non-technical forums with over 50,000 ongoing posts, plus constantly updated archives about common and more unusual faults on the UK’s most popular vehicles. You can also download a service schedule and diagnostic forms from the homepage.
Surrey workshop owner Peter Warman set up the forum to enable techs to share their experience and with the same mission as Top Technician, to help enhance the professionalism of UK automotive technicians. Peter encourages techs to take a look at the site, “Anyone can view the non-technical forums and if you sign up, you can post and have access to Fixed & Gone where users report fixes of unusual repairs and also Workshop Trader, where techs have sold anything from diagnostic equipment to their entire business”.
The five technicians who make it through to the finals next April will be given a lifetime free membership to UKAT.
