Disc coating allows for improved performance and increased protection from the elements. Borg & Beck has added other features to its specialist BECKTEC coating as standard, a move it sees as a benefit to technicians.

As well as the above, BECKTEC coated discs do not require cleaning or degreasing prior to their fitment which saves time and therefore saves the customer money, while increasing workshop efficiency. The coating utilises a water-based zinc and aluminium flake to increase the corrosion protection, even on the braking surface, while improving the efficiency of the thermal exchange properties in the braking cycle.
