Kwik Fit discounts MOTs to £19.71 to commemorate 50th anniversary in April
With MOT numbers down as a result of 2020’s Exemption shifting tests into the Autumn and Winter, the MOT market is about to become much more competitive with Kwik-Fit offering tests right through April at the knock-down price of £19.71.
The price commemorates the 50th anniversary of the first Kwik Fit centre opening in Edinburgh in 1971. The company expects to perform around 900,000 tests during the month as a result of the promotion, and is encouraging drivers who have a current expiry date before 31 May to book a test in April to take advantage of the offer.
Roger Griggs, Communications Director at Kwik Fit, commented: “This month brings up our half century of serving UK motorists, so we thought we would offer MOTs at the appropriate amount of £19.71 to mark the year of our opening. There has been a lot of upheaval in the MOT system in the last twelve months, so we would encourage drivers to check their expiry date to ensure it’s still valid. And even if there are some months left, with lockdown restrictions easing and drivers starting to travel increased distances, owners may want to consider getting their vehicles tested if they have not been used much over the last year.”
