Apec has incorporated VAGs system of primary option codes within its data and ordering system to eliminate order errors. Each consists of three characters and are specific to every component on every vehicle on the production line – acting as a bespoke fingerprint to each individual car. Every VAG vehicle since 1999 has its unique PR number in the service booklet or on the service data sticker located in the boot, under the rear seats or in the spare wheel well.
