Prevent warping

Apec has a wide range of coated brake discs for the aftermarket to match OE applications and extra part numbers where the original wasn’t coated.

The firm says where some other manufacturers spray all over, Apec masks off the braking surfaces before applying the coating, preventing contamination of the brake pads.

Its discs are treated with a coating on the hub and edges where rust normally appears and the black coating matches the appearance of many OE discs.

High quality steel is used to make them to provide uniform thickness and hardness to prevent warping.
