Resilient Brembo posts ‘stable’ preliminary results

Brakes manufacturing giant Brembo has hailed the resilience of the company in the auto sector as it posted revenues of more than €3.8 billion (£3.2 billion) in preliminary results for 2024.

Brembo said yesterday EBITDA was €661.6 million, also in line with the previous year’s figure and market guidance, representing 17.2% of revenues.

The company said the stable preliminary results came against the backdrop of what it described as a complex global scenario, marked by significant difficulties in the automotive industry.

Executive chairman Matteo Tiraboschi (pictured) said: “These preliminary results confirm the solidity of Brembo’s business model despite the challenging times faced by our industry.

“Our strength lies in continuous innovation and the passion of our people, who work with great commitment every day to keep the group at the forefront.”

Tiraboschi said Brembo had continued to invest in strengthening its global industrial presence last year and would announce consolidated results in March, following approval of its annual financial statements.

Aftermarket reported last October that Brembo had acquired Sweden-based suspension tech company Öhlins in a deal worth around £310 million.

Brembo said the takeover of Öhlins Racing, the biggest in its history, was included in an agreement with Tenneco — a portfolio company of funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management.
