Straightet equips new training centre

Kia UK recently chose Straightset to design, equip and install its new 40,000 square foot training facility in Derby where it will be able to take in 1,500 learner a year to undertake the manufacturer’s training programmes.

Andrew Bates, Sales Director at Straightset, said: “We were delighted to be appointed to work on the creation of Kia’s new Training Academy which allowed us to demonstrate our expertise in garage design and fit-out for a training environment.

The workshop was fitted out with the vehicle lifts from SPACE as well as the EV-ready 2-post lifts. The training workshop incorporates a dedicated, bespoke-designed workbench solutions complete with Bahco tooling arranged in foam inlays, HPA-Faip tyre and workshop equipment, the Q Lign Wheel Alignment System from Beissbarth and integrated air, water and lubrication services.

Straightset had only a few months ago launched their own training centre their Worksop HQ, as Andrew noted: “The recent opening and success of our own training crentre highlights the increasing investment companies are making in developing and training their staff.”
