TechFest returns to Coventry

TechFest, GSF Car Parts’ ‘garage technology festival’, returns to the CBS Arena on Thursday 16 July, the sixth TechFest event hosted by the motor factor.
More than 3,500 industry professionals are expected to attend alongside over 80 aftermarket suppliers. The event is free to attend, with food, drink, parking and giveaways included.
Doors open at 3pm, and the event continues into the evening; attendees are welcome to arrive at any time.
Coventry and Warwickshire sit at the heart of the UK’s most significant automotive cluster. The region is home to 12 vehicle manufacturing sites and 15 dedicated R&D centres, giving it one of the highest concentrations of automotive expertise anywhere in Europe. The city is also home to a significant concentration of independent garages and technical services, supported by strong transport links and an ageing vehicle parc.
Steve Horne, Chief Executive Officer at GSF Car Parts, commented: “Independent garages are adapting to some of the biggest technological changes our industry has seen, and having access to practical training and trusted supplier support has never been more important.
“TechFest challenges the status quo by bringing that support directly to workshops, giving technicians the opportunity to get hands-on with the latest products, ask questions, share knowledge and leave with ideas they can immediately put into practice.
“We’re delighted to be bringing TechFest back to Coventry. The West Midlands remains one of the UK’s most important automotive regions, making Coventry the perfect location to bring together garages, technicians and suppliers from across the aftermarket.”
