Oak Group tyre network branches out into Wales

Tyre wholesaler Oak Group Holdings is expanding into Wales following the recent acquisition of a 155,150 ft² storage and distribution facility in Newport.

This will be the eighth warehouse for the company and its first in Wales, with operations starting  this summer.

Oak said the new facility will allow for stronger distribution across the region, thanks to its ability to store over 250,000 tyres, alongside a comprehensive fleet of heavy goods vehicles.

The announcement follows the opening of Oak’s Warrington warehouse last year.

Peter Cross, Oak’s commercial director, said: “We look forward to bringing the facility online in the near future, where it will play a key role in enhancing the availability of our brand portfolio and strengthening our service capabilities across the UK.”
